Security Processes Ltd (SPL), established in February 1997, is an independent consultancy specialising in technologies for the detection of nuclear / radiological materials, explosives, chemical and biological agents, drugs, weapons and people. 

SPL does not represent or re-sell the products of any manufacturer.

SPL’s founder and Principle Consultant, Bill Halkett, a recognised expert in the field of threat detection technologies, established the Company having identified that both prospective users and technology developers often lacked the data needed to develop either procurement or development specifications.  SPL meets the requirements of both categories through the broad ranging, highly qualified and unbiased expertise of its consultants and Associates.

Our consultants come from a variety of relevant backgrounds and are selected for each contract according to the client’s requirements.  Clients range from prospective purchasers to vendors of advanced and conventional security equipment. 

We routinely work with government and commercial organisations with particular security needs assisting them to identify requirements and/or specify equipment and/or manage procurement and installation. 

The range of applications has included perimeter protection, detection of threat materials and devices at airports, seaports and land border crossings and protection of people in public spaces.  We supply support at all levels for clients whose security challenges range from mail packages to sea freight containers and people through to mass transit. 

SPL respects the confidentiality of all of its clients past and present and so does publish a list of clients.  However, we can affirm that we have provided technical and project management services to Government agencies in several countries; major systems integrators; successful start up companies and major vendors of security and threat detection products.
